Alt-Cali Dinner Series Vol.2
We’re excited to announce a new series of events under the title: Alternative California or “Alt-Cali”. The goal is to highlight contemporary producers and styles of wine coming from California that are not the ubiquitous “same-same” style on every grocery store shelf. The event below is the second dinner this year featuring a producer from Sierra Foothills AVA.
“Library Wine Dinner with Terre Rouge”
One of the original “Rhône Rangers“, Terre Rouge specializes in the classic varietals like Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Viognier, and Roussanne. But, what really sets them apart is their founder, Bill Easton’s belief in long élevage, or the aging of wine before release, giving them time to gain complexity and character.
Terre Rouge maintains an extensive library of past vintages stored impeccably in their cellars. After requesting a list of these wines late last year we were able to source a fantastic line-up of vintages from 2006-2015 including Terre Rouge’s flagship, “Ascent Syrah” (100pts Wine Enthusiast 2016 & 2018).
National Sales Manager, Less Doss will be on hand to guide us through our dinner pairings.
